Impact Challenge in USA for Gojob
The United States is the world’s leader in incarceration with two million people in US prisons. About 1/3 of individuals have a criminal record (70 million Americans). It tends to stick with them once they have served their time, and many struggle to find a job.
But they represent a strong potential for organizations, especially blue-collar workers and skilled laborers. Government organizations and companies are now taking steps to ensure they have a second chance to make a positive impact societally.
Gojob decided to turn its actions into helping them to get their lives back on track. The company developed partnerships with Nashville Rescue Mission to train and coach people on soft skills and the way to present themselves and Checkr, a tool to check people's background digitally. Gojob is also encouraging US organizations to broaden their scope by recruiting more second chance workers who represent a pool of engaged, committed, and highly productive employees.
